#f5f5f7 is an extremely pale, neutral grey that acts as a softer alternative to stark white. It maintains a clean, minimalist feel, making it ideal for UI backgrounds or sanitary branding. Questions about #f5f5f7
What is #f5f5f7 in RGB, HSL and CMYK?
In RGB, #f5f5f7 is rgb(245, 245, 247), in HSL hsl(240, 11%, 96%) and in CMYK 1%, 1%, 0%, 3%.
Why does #f5f5f7 sometimes look muddy next to pure white?
When placed directly beside pure white, #f5f5f7 can appear slightly dirty or muddy because the human eye perceives the subtle grey pigment as a shadow. To avoid this, use it as your primary canvas color rather than stacking it immediately against #ffffff.
Is #f5f5f7 readable on white or black?
#f5f5f7 has a 1.08:1 contrast ratio on white and 19.28:1 on black. WCAG asks for 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text, so on white it is too faint for text and on black it works for body text. Try other pairs in the contrast checker.
