Onyx is a dense, charcoal grey that reads as serious and grounded. Because it offers strong contrast against white text, #464544 works best as a primary background color for modern dark-mode interfaces or minimalist typography. Avoid using it alongside other near-black tones, as it can look muddy. Instead, pair it with muted metallics or stark white to maintain crisp visual hierarchy.
